Request to readers

I've noticed some readers making off-topic comments because, well, there's no on-topic place for them to post. Here's my request: E-mail your off-topic comment to me -- the link to my e-mail is below my picture and profile -- and I'll turn it into a post. If you want anonymity, give me a nickname and I'll use that for attribution. Just trying to keep the place neat. Thank you. That is all.

How about the city of GF wanting to limit bike useage downtown.

Whats next? Blocking off a road and putting a roof over it and calling it a mall? No bikes allowed inside the mall. Oh yea, that had been done and failed!

If ____(was it Doug Christianson?) is concerned about bike/person accidents, why is he not concerned about vehicle/person accidents. Lets remove all motor vehicles from downtown.

Oh, another idea. Lets limit the use of strollers downtown. Those pesky babies with their death trap strollers could kill someone!

Good gravy! If he(Doug) is worried about common courtesy, deal with that issue. Don't pass laws that limit the use of things that some people might misuse, pass laws that will punish those that violate your common courtesy beliefs.

Reading you archives, I noticed where you interviewed Ward 2 and Ward 6 prospective city council persons.

Here : http://www.geocities.com/ttu103/Candidate_political_orientation.xls

You asked the question "The answer to a social problem is new laws."
Most of theme responded with a 2. One person responded with a 1.

So, on one side they want new laws, but on the other side they say no to new laws?

On another side note, the same web page with the questions has the question "The city should not provide services that the private sector can provide." Most agreed with that statement. How can they say that when the city owns a gargantuan(sp?) tennis and raquetball center. When the city owned a water park. And so on, and so on, and so on.

Oh and sorry for posting instead of emailing, but if I email, then the "MAN" has my email address and can track me down and put tracking devices under my finernails. "THEY" used to control my thoughts too, but now I wear an AFDB which took care of that. You can build one with the instructions from :http://zapatopi.net/afdb/afdbdiagram.pdf
